This year, Eben’s participating in Movember, and growing a moustache to raise funds for men’s mental health, in memory of our very dear friend Chris “Oggie” Lightfoot , who died in 2007. He’s been growing the hairs on the lower part of his face out since November 1, and now has enough stubble to shape into a moustache

Eben is doing some work on the west coast of the US until Wednesday, then he’s at a loose end before flying out to NYC on Saturday morning. He’s decided he’d like to fill those two days visiting bits of the country we’ve not been to before with Raspberry Pi, so we’re looking for folks at hackspaces who might want him to drop by to give a talk on one of those days.

Eben and I flew to the US yesterday, and bought a copy of the New York Times at the airport the moment we landed to read in the cab on the way to our hotel, because we’d been told just before we took off that there was a long article about Raspberry Pi in the business section. A bit of a Total Perspective Vortex moment. We’ve been so busy over the last few months that I’d actually forgotten that we’d spent half a day with a video photographer from the NYT in September, when we were at Maker Faire NY.
